News about Everton’s appeal: Joe Anderson dismisses allegations from the Premier League and review panel.
Joe Anderson has criticized the three-member panel responsible for reviewing the Premier League’s decision to deduct 10 points from Everton earlier this season.
The former Mayor of Liverpool has accused the panel of colluding with the
Premier League, citing the lack of a decision on the club’s appeal as causing further uncertainty and damage.
Everton’s appeal of the 10-point deduction remains unresolved, leaving the
club and its supporters in the dark. With Sean Dyche’s side precariously above
Luton Town in the relegation zone, the prolonged uncertainty adds to the pressure.
Expressing his frustration on X on Thursday (22 February), Anderson stated:
“It is inconceivable that the three-member panel reviewing the Premier League’s decision
to deduct 10 points from Everton have not reached a conclusion. We can therefore conclude that they
are colluding with the PL allowing the uncertainty & damage to continue.”
The situation has fueled concerns among Everton fans, who perceive the Premier
League’s treatment of the club as unfair. Comparisons are drawn to Manchester
City’s situation, where no updates have been provided despite numerous charges.
The prolonged wait for a decision adds to the anxiety at Goodison Park, especially with the threat of relegation looming for the third consecutive season.
The urgency for a resolution to Everton’s appeal grows with each passing day,
as the continued silence from the panel only exacerbates frustration among fans.
